Job Overview We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive Accounts Assistant to join our clients finance team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in supporting the financial operations of the organisation by assisting with various accounting tasks. This position requires a strong understanding of accounting principles and proficiency in accounting software. The ideal candidate will be organised, able to manage multiple tasks efficiently, and possess excellent attention to detail. Location: Horsham Salary: £26,000 to £30,000 Hours: 09:00am to 17:30pm (Only full time and all in office) Responsibilities * Assist in managing accounts payable and accounts receivable processes. * Perform data entry tasks accurately and efficiently. * Reconcile bank statements and maintain accurate financial records. * Support the preparation of financial reports and statements. * Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate financial reporting. * Assist with audits by providing necessary documentation and information. * Maintain filing systems for financial documents and records. * Respond to inquiries regarding invoices, payments, and account discrepancies. Qualifications * Proficiency in accounting software * Previous experience in a financial services environment is advantageous. * Strong data entry skills with a high level of accuracy. * Familiarity with accounts payable processes is essential. * Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail. * Ability to work independently as well as part of a team. * Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. * A relevant qualification in finance or accounting is desirable but not essential.
