We are looking for a talented and ambitious Operations Manager / Head of Operations to join a rapidly growing business with a first-rate reputation in their sector. The successful candidate will be a key member of the Site Senior Leadership Team.

Key Role Responsibilities:

* Lead and manage the day-to-day Operation of a busy Distribution Centre.

* Drive continuous improvement across processes, workflow, inventory, and efficiency through the development and implementation of effective strategies.

* Analyse and report on KPIs.

* Monitor and maintain fulfilment performance metrics.

* Set and communicate business expectations through weekly team meetings. Taking a lead role in hiring, developing, and managing staff (including performance management, disciplinaries, and one-on-one meetings).

* Be target driven, setting and achieving daily / monthly business targets – providing clear reporting on progress.

* Collaborate closely with other business functions to understand sales forecasts, staffing requirements, operational space, and technology needs for peak planning.

* Maintain customer compliance and exceed customer expectations.

* Strive for service excellence keeping the customer as the primary focus whilst ensuring compliance with legal, safety, and regulatory requirements.

* Attend business meetings at all levels – serve as the direct Operations contact (both internally and externally).

The Ideal Candidate:

* A proven track record in a similar role managing a warehouse or distribution centre.

* Demonstrable experience in food and beverage import / distribution

* Professional understanding of finance, supply chain, workflow and staff management,

* First Class Leadership Skills and problem-solving skills.

* Strong organisational skills

* The ability to build strong internal and external relationships.

* Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with exceptional listening skills.

* PC literacy skills – MS Office, knowledge of SAP and warehouse management systems.

* The ability to develop strategic plans to improve and optimise the operations department.

In return for meeting the above criteria you will be rewarded with a salary of £75-85K (dependant on skills and experience) plus car allowance, plus excellent bonus and other employee benefits. xiskglj
