We are currently recruiting for an Multi Skilled Maintenance Engineer to join a growing food manufacturer at their site near Alton.
As Maintenance Engineer on-site you will ensure the factory is kept running at all times, whilst always keeping an eye out for any improvements that can be made to improve overall efficiency.
Key Responsibilities
- To efficiently, effectively fault find and resolve technical/process issues.
- To resolve breakdown issues with minimal impact to production.
- To complete all maintenance activities on time as planned.
- To provide technical support for capital projects and improvement activity.
- To effectively communicate within and across departments using escalation procedures to manage issues and priorities.
What we are looking for:
Essential
- Proven experience as a Maintenance Engineer β ideally gained within a food manufacturing or an FMCG environment.
- Prior experience with Hydraulics and Pneumatics.
- Competent at completing reactive and planned maintenance within a fast moving, pressurised, manufacturing environment.
- Ability to work with other internal staff and external contractors to understand faults within the machinery.
- Comfortable working in a food environment.
Desirable
- Recognised engineering qualifications (NVQ / BTEC / HNC / City & Guilds etc.) / Time Served Apprenticeship (preferably manufacturing).
- Knowledge of electrical engineering including PLCs, control panels, single & three phase, installations etc.
- 17th Edition / 18th Edition Wiring Regulations.
The successful candidate will be rewarded with a competitive salary, circa Β£(phone number removed) (dependent on skills and experience) plus benefits.
