We are seeking a dynamic and commercially driven Head of Decarbonisation Works to lead a growing division delivering large-scale retrofit and low-carbon building upgrades across residential and public sector portfolios. This is a senior leadership role responsible for the end-to-end performance, growth, and strategic direction of a multi-disciplinary delivery unit. You will oversee operational teams delivering external wall insulation (EWI), internal wall insulation (IWI), air source heat pump installations, and solar PV deployment, ensuring high-quality, compliant, and efficient delivery at scale. You will also play a key role in winning new work, shaping bids, and developing long-term client partnerships to expand the division’s pipeline and market presence.
Key Responsibilities
- Leadership & Operational Delivery
- Lead and develop multi-disciplinary delivery teams across retrofit and renewable energy works
- Oversee programme delivery of EWI, IWI, heat pump installations, and solar PV projects
- Ensure operational excellence, safety compliance, quality assurance, and cost control
- Drive continuous improvement across delivery processes and supply chain performance
- Manage senior operational managers and support workforce planning and capability development
- Commercial & Business Growth
- Lead on bid strategy, tender submissions, and framework opportunities
- Secure new contracts across social housing, local authority, and commercial sectors
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients, funders, and strategic partners
- Identify new market opportunities within the decarbonisation and retrofit sector
- Contribute to pricing strategy and margin improvement across projects
- Strategic Development
- Shape and execute the growth strategy for the decarbonisation division
