Elevate Projects are working in partnership with our client, to appoint an experienced Asset Manager to head up a surveying team focussing on Asset management of a Schools and Education buildings property portfolio, this role will lead, manage and deliver a comprehensive property management service in relation to its property portfolio, occupied either by operational teams or by third parties Key responsibilities and accountabilities: • Management of operational, commercial and industrial land and property, in particular the management of the schools, industrial and operational assets. • Direct, manage and monitor annual rolling programme of condition surveys of the estate. • Identify and secure agreement to and delivery of the £750k annual schools condition budget. To take a strategic view of the current and future infrastructure and asset management needs in relation to Education. • To advise schools on accommodation development and capital issues in line with the priorities to keep the schools operational. Negotiate funding agreements with school governing and Academy Trust bodies in relation to capital schemes either being delivered. • Direct, negotiate and manage the transfer of land and properties for new (Free) schools and implement the government programme to ensure maintained schools can convert to academy status. To advise Members and Directors in relation to this. Linking closely with internal and external partners and 4 stakeholders to ensure all legal requirements are met. • To work in partnership with the Education Service to provide a strategic lead on key strategic issues such as area wide reviews and reorganisation to secure all aspects of the Council’s approach to Education Place Planning, • Lead, manage & deliver projects/programmes in accordance with corporate priorities, reflecting the required business timescales and service area deliverables in particular asset transfers, asset management and strategic planning and delivery of the Education estates. To matrix manage officers and external contractors in the delivery of asset transfers to third parties
