About the Role
Elevate Projects are working in partnership with a local Authority in the Surrey / Hampshire / Berkshire area. We are seeking a skilled Repairs Surveyor to conduct comprehensive surveys of residential properties for our local authority, to deliver high quality response service to our residents. You will visit our properties, assess a wide range of repair needs, including structural, electrical, plumbing, and general maintenance issues, while ensuring compliance with Awaab's Law and other relevant regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform detailed surveys of residential properties to identify and document repair requirements.
- Diagnosing faults accurately and raising clear, effective works orders.
- Ensure repairs are right first time, reducing repeat visits and complaints.
- Collaborate with tenants, contractors, and internal teams to ensure efficient resolution of issues.
Requirements
- Extensive experience as a Maintenance Repairs Surveyor, with a broad understanding of residential property repairs.
- Strong diagnostic skills and confidence making decisions on site.
- Knowledge of Awaab's Law, HHSRS, and its application in social housing.
- Strong analytical and communication skills, with the ability to produce high-quality reports.
- Relevant qualifications or a (e.g., RICS, CIOB, or equivalent) or experience background on the tools are preferred.
