Elevate Projects are working with a local authority covering the geographical area of Hampshire, Surrey and Berkshire. We are currently seeking an experienced Interim Voids Manager to join our team and oversee the efficient turnaround of empty residential properties within our local authority. As an Interim Voids Manager, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that properties are inspected, repaired, and made ready for reoccupation as quickly and cost‑effectively as possible. Your expertise will help us maintain high standards of housing and compliance with Awaab's Law.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct thorough inspections of void properties to assess their condition and identify necessary repairs.
  • Coordinate with contractors, surveyors, and housing officers to prioritise and manage the repair works.
  • Ensure all properties meet health, safety, and compliance standards, including Awaab's Law.
  • Monitor and report on void turnaround times, costs, and performance metrics.
  • Work closely with internal teams to reduce void periods and improve tenant satisfaction.

Requirements

  • Proven experience as a Voids Manager, Property Manager, within the social housing sector or local authority environment.
  • Strong knowledge of building regulations, health and safety standards, and compliance requirements, including Awaab's Law.
  • Excellent organisational and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple properties and stakeholders.
  • Experience working in an interim or consultancy capacity is highly desirable.
  • Relevant qualifications (e.g., CIH, RICS) or proven experience.
