Are you an experienced surveyor ready to take the lead on critical housing repairs and make a tangible difference to residents' lives? We're looking for a highly skilled Senior Surveyor to join our dedicated Property Services team for a 1-year fixed-term contract. This is a vital leadership role, focusing on tackling damp and mould, managing disrepair claims, and overseeing complex repairs across our housing stock.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage a team of three surveyors, ensuring high standards of professionalism, customer service, and compliance.
  • Carry out specialist inspections and diagnoses of damp, mould, and structural disrepair.
  • Oversee and coordinate complex repairs from inspection to completion, working closely with contractors, tenants, and legal teams.
  • Support the wider Property Services strategy by driving quality, efficiency, and resident satisfaction.
  • Act as technical lead for case escalations, providing expert advice and reporting to senior management.

Requirements:

  • Degree or professional qualification in building surveying or a related field is desirable.
  • Proven experience in housing disrepair, damp and mould, and complex building pathology.
  • Excellent contract management experience.
  • Strong leadership skills with experience managing or mentoring teams.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of relevant legislation, including the Housing Health and Safety Rating System (HHSRS).
