About the Role
We are seeking an Estate Manager to lead and supervise the Caretaking Service, ensuring high standards across all areas, including weekends.
You will manage bulk refuse collections, minor repairs, caretaking duties, and pressure washing.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the Caretaker Team, organising work rotas and maintaining appropriate staffing levels.
- Manage staff performance, including 1:1 supervision sessions and performance reviews.
- Maintain performance data for bulk refuse, minor repairs, and special projects.
- Work on a rota basis, including weekends, to ensure a full and efficient service.
- Assist in producing reports and attend evening meetings as required.
- Allocate, monitor, and supervise work, ensuring a safe working environment.
- Drive and operate vehicles and machinery, including bulk refuse collection vehicles.
- Collect and dispose of bulk refuse and carry out minor repairs and deep cleans.
- Provide relief caretaking and respond to emergency clean-up requests.
- Maintain good working relationships with residents, staff, and client representatives.
Requirements
- Experience in managing staff and delivering a responsive service.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation relevant to caretaking and estate cleaning.
- Ability to operate bulk refuse vehicles and machinery safely.
- Ability to carry out minor repairs and manual handling tasks.
- Full, clean, and valid UK driving licence with the ability to drive a tipper van and fleet vehicles.
- Ability to work weekends and evenings as required.
