We are seeking an experienced Interim Damp & Mould/Disrepair Team Lead to oversee and drive the delivery of a high-performing team. In this role, you will report directly to the Assistant Director and lead a team of 10 staff, as well as manage directly employed personnel and external contractors. Your primary responsibility will be to ensure accurate record-keeping and compliance with statutory requirements under Awaab's Law and Disrepair legislation. You will collaborate with key stakeholders to maintain high standards of service delivery, address damp and mould issues, and ensure all disrepair cases are handled efficiently and effectively.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and manage a team of 10 staff, including directly employed personnel and contractors.
  • Oversee the delivery of damp, mould, and disrepair services, ensuring compliance with Awaab's Law and Disrepair legislation.
  • Maintain accurate record-keeping and ensure all statutory requirements are met.
  • Collaborate with key stakeholders to align service delivery with organisational goals.
  • Monitor and improve performance, addressing any issues promptly to ensure high standards.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in damp, mould, and disrepair management, preferably in a leadership role.
  • Strong knowledge of Awaab's Law, Disrepair legislation, and related statutory requirements.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills, with the ability to oversee both internal staff and external contractors.
  • Exceptional organisational and communication skills to liaise with stakeholders at all levels.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and ensure compliance with legal and regulatory standards.
  • Experience in performance monitoring and service improvement.
