About the Role

We are seeking a Fire Safety Officer to ensure fire safety compliance across a diverse portfolio of properties and tenures. This role involves providing expert guidance, advice, and oversight to support strong governance and adherence to fire safety legislation. As a trusted subject matter expert, you will deliver clear, evidence-based assurance to the organisation, providing independent oversight and challenge to maintain high operational standards. You will also contribute to the development of future fire safety systems and standards, helping to strengthen capability across the organisation. This is a highly autonomous role that requires strong technical expertise and sound judgement to ensure the organisation meets its legal, moral, and financial responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide expert guidance and advice on fire safety compliance across a diverse property portfolio.
  • Support strong governance and ensure adherence to fire safety legislation and standards.
  • Deliver independent oversight and challenge to maintain high operational standards.
  • Contribute to the development of fire safety systems and standards.

Requirements

  • Level 3 Fire Safety qualification and NEBOSH Fire Safety Certificate (or equivalent).
  • Strong technical expertise in fire safety and sound judgement.
  • Effective communication skills to engage confidently at all levels.
  • Experience in maintaining accurate compliance records.
  • Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle for travel.
  • Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team.
