About the

Role: We are seeking an experienced Disabled Facilities Grant Officer to administer Disabled Facilities Grants (DFGs) and ensure that disabled residents can remain living independently in their homes.

You will assess housing conditions, process grant applications, and monitor adaptation works to ensure they meet satisfactory standards.

This role involves interpreting recommendations from Occupational Therapists, drawing up schedules of works, and managing financial means-test assessments.

Key Responsibilities

  • Administer DFGs, including interpreting Occupational Therapist recommendations and drawing up schedules of works based on property inspections.
  • Carry out financial means-test assessments and ensure compliance with the Housing Grants, Construction, and Regeneration Act.
  • Survey residential properties and prepare specifications, drawings, and schedules of work.
  • Manage adaptation or improvement projects, ensuring they meet building regulations and health and safety standards.
  • Liaise with clients, contractors, architects, and internal teams to resolve issues on-site.
