We are looking for an experienced Building Surveyor or Roofing Surveyor to lead and manage a large-scale Planned Roof Renewal Programme across the Dorset region. This is a permanent position offering a mix of site-based inspections and flexible home-working arrangements. Occasional travel may be required for one-off property projects in neighbouring areas.
Responsibilities
- Carry out detailed roof inspections and oversee Health & Safety compliance across all housing projects.
- Manage roofing contractors and lead progress meetings, reviewing KPIs and performance standards.
- Undertake post and quality inspections for planned roof renewals and reactive maintenance.
- Process monthly valuations, ensure financial accuracy, and maintain project data using MS Office and internal systems.
- Communicate effectively with residents, contractors, and internal teams to ensure high service standards.
About you
- Qualified to at least HNC level in Building Surveying, Construction, or a related discipline.
- A minimum of 6 years' experience within roofing, building surveying, or housing maintenance projects.
- Proven experience managing contractors and delivering large-scale planned works programmes.
- Excellent communication, reporting, and IT skills, with proficiency in MS Excel and database systems.
