Elevate Projects are working in partnership with our client, a local housing provider in the South West region, to appoint an experienced Head of Repairs on an ongoing contract basis to lead the delivery and continuous improvement of the repairs and maintenance service. You’ll play a pivotal role in ensuring tenants and service users receive a high-quality, responsive, and efficient repairs service across both housing and corporate assets. Key Responsibilities * Lead the delivery of all responsive, voids, and planned maintenance works, ensuring full compliance with health and safety, statutory, and quality standards. * Manage large-scale repairs and maintenance programmes across housing stock and property portfolios. * Oversee operational teams, staffing, budgets, and resources to ensure efficient and effective service delivery. * Drive performance improvement, service innovation, and customer satisfaction. * Lead procurement and management of maintenance and repairs contracts, ensuring value for money and strong contractor performance. * Provide technical leadership and ensure compliance with housing standards, building regulations, and best practice in asset management. You will bring: * Extensive experience in building construction, property maintenance, and housing standards. * A proven track record of managing high-value budgets and leading operational teams in a housing association, local authority, or similar environment. * Strong leadership and change management skills, with the ability to motivate teams and drive service improvement. * Excellent commercial and financial acumen, with a focus on cost control, efficiency, and customer outcomes. * A collaborative and pragmatic approach, with the ability to work effectively across departments and with external partners
