Job Title: Mould Washer / Labourer - Temporary (4 Months) Location: UK (field-based, working in customers' homes) Salary: £29,039.09 per annum (pro rata) Hours: 40 hours per week Contract Type: Temporary - 4 months Reporting to: Awaab's Law Team Supervisor About the Role: We are seeking a Mould Washer / Labourer to carry out mould washing and simple treatment works in customers' homes safely and promptly to meet Awaab's Law timescales, treating customers and their homes with care and respect. You will support the wider team with preparation, clearance, and basic labouring duties to enable effective delivery of the service. Key Responsibilities: * Complete mould washes and approved treatments in line with work instructions and Awaab's Law timescales, delivering timely work to the required standard and minimising repeat visits. * Protect customers' belongings and surfaces, prepare work areas, and leave homes clean and tidy. * Apply stain block, anti-mould paint, or sealant, and complete minor making good when instructed and trained. * Maintain clear mobile job records, including before and after photographs, materials used, and issues identified. * Report leaks, ventilation faults, hazards, safeguarding concerns, and follow-on work promptly. * Treat customers respectfully and provide approved basic advice on heating, ventilation, and condensation. * Support trades and contractors with preparation, moving materials, clearance, waste removal, and equipment delivery. * Keep vehicles, stores, tools, and equipment clean, safe, and correctly stocked. * Complete required training and follow COSHH, risk assessments, safe working methods, and PPE/RPE requirements, reporting incidents and near misses. * Work respectfully with colleagues and carry out other reasonable duties to support the wider team. What You'll Need: * Basic awareness of damp, mould, and condensation, and the need to meet Awaab's Law timescales. * Understanding of mould washing and treatment methods, or willingness to learn. * Basic safety awareness, including COSHH, manual handling, PPE, RPE, tools, and ladders. * Practical and reliable, with good standards of cleanliness and care. * Polite and respectful communication when working in customers' homes. * Ability to follow instructions, work alone or with others, and report problems promptly. * Ability to carry out physical work, manual handling, and work from steps or ladders. * Ability to use a mobile device for jobs, notes, and photographs. * Experience of labouring, cleaning, decorating, or similar practical work is desirable. * Full UK driving licence and ability to travel for work.
