We’re looking for an experienced Building Surveyor with a strong background in planned improvement programmes to join our team operating across the M4/M5 corridor. This is a fantastic opportunity to take ownership of large-scale capital investment works while working within a supportive and progressive environment.

The Role:

As a key member of the asset management team, you’ll oversee the delivery of multi-million-pound planned works programmes, ensuring all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to high quality standards. You’ll manage contractors, carry out detailed surveys, prepare specifications, and ensure compliance with legislation and health & safety requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and manage planned improvement projects totalling up to £1 million or more annually.
  • Projects include roofing, windows and doors, kitchen and bathroom refurbishments, and other major component replacements.
  • Carry out pre and post inspections, ensuring high standards of workmanship and value for money.
  • Prepare detailed reports, specifications, and tender documentation.
  • Liaise with residents, contractors, and internal stakeholders to ensure smooth project delivery.

About You:

  • Proven track record in managing large-scale planned works programmes.
  • Strong technical knowledge of building pathology, construction methods, and contract administration.
  • Excellent project management and stakeholder engagement skills.
  • HNC/HND or degree in Building Surveying (or equivalent experience).
  • Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel within the M4/M5 region.
