Elevate Projects are working in partnership with our client, a provider of affordable housing, social landlord and not for profit developer, to appoint an experienced Disrepair Surveyor to join their busy Asset management team. The successful candidate will be responsible for inspecting and assessing properties affected by damp, mould, condensation, disrepair and other building defects, identifying the root cause of issues and specifying appropriate remedial works. You will manage cases from initial inspection through to completion, working closely with residents, contractors, repairs teams and other internal stakeholders to ensure that issues are resolved effectively and within agreed timescales.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out detailed inspections of residential properties in relation to damp, mould, condensation, disrepair and general building defects.
- Diagnose the root cause of defects, considering building construction, ventilation, insulation, heating and potential water ingress.
- Produce clear and detailed survey reports, including findings, recommendations, specifications and schedules of works.
- Raise and manage works orders and liaise with contractors to ensure remedial works are completed to the required standard.
- Inspect completed works and ensure defects have been satisfactorily resolved.
- Manage a caseload of damp, mould and disrepair cases, ensuring appropriate prioritisation and timely resolution.
