We’re looking for a Disrepair Surveyor on a contract basis, to play a crucial role in resolving housing condition complaints and legal disrepair claims. You’ll be at the forefront of improving the quality of our homes, managing complex issues, and providing an excellet level of service. About the Role: As a Disrepair Surveyor, you will manage complaints received as legal claims (Housing Condition Claims) in close partnership with our legal services team. You’ll lead investigations, coordinate repairs, and work collaboratively with trade teams and contractors to resolve issues efficiently and effectively. Your work will contribute to minimising litigation while delivering a cost-effective, high-quality service that meets and exceeds customer expectations. Key Responsibilities: * Conduct thorough property inspections in response to legal claims. * Oversee and coordinate all required repairs from inception to completion. * Monitor and ensure the quality of work carried out by internal trade teams and external contractors. * Communicate clearly with tenants, providing them with detailed case reports and updates. * Deliver high levels of customer satisfaction while operating within budgetary constraints. * Identify and implement solutions through both internal complaints procedures and, where necessary, within the legal framework. * Promote a customer-first approach, managing expectations and resolving disputes amicably and effectively. What We’re Looking For: * Strong technical knowledge of building maintenance and repairs. * Proven experience in managing legal housing disrepair claims or similar. * Excellent communication and customer service skills. * Ability to assess complex repair issues and deliver practical, value-for-money solutions. * Experience working with legal services, contractors, and stakeholders. * Commitment to improving the tenant experience and achieving service excellence.
