We are seeking an experienced Repairs Supervisor to oversee a small team of multi-skilled tradespeople delivering day-to-day repairs and maintenance across our social housing portfolio. This is a hands-on role combining technical surveying, supervision, scheduling, and people management to ensure repairs are delivered safely, on time, within budget, and to a high standard of quality and customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out pre inspections to diagnose issues, specify works, and schedule repairs
- Supervise and line manage a small team of tradespeople, including day-to-day support, performance management, and attendance
- Programme and schedule works efficiently to meet service targets and priorities
- Monitor works in progress, providing technical guidance where required
- Conduct post-inspections to ensure repairs meet quality, safety, and compliance standards
- Ensure all works comply with health & safety regulations and company procedures
- Liaise with tenants, colleagues, and other stakeholders to deliver a positive customer experience
- Manage job records, reports, and systems accurately
- Support continuous improvement in productivity, quality, and service delivery
Candidates should have experience of diagnosing repairs, managing operatives and quality checking work. Must be a good communicator and IT literate. Offering excellent working conditions, including hybrid working and opportunities for training and development.
