We are currently seeking an experienced Lead Workshop Technician to join our team in Kintore. This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled mechanical and hydraulic technician with leadership experience to take on a key role within a busy workshop environment supporting subsea tooling and back deck equipment operations. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading workshop activities, ensuring equipment is maintained to the highest standards, and supporting operational readiness for offshore projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and support workshop technicians in the maintenance, servicing, inspection and repair of subsea tooling and back deck equipment.
- Carry out fault finding, diagnostics and repairs on mechanical and hydraulic systems.
- Ensure all equipment is maintained and prepared in accordance with company and client requirements.
- Promote and maintain high standards of safety, quality and housekeeping within the workshop.
- Assist with planning and prioritising workshop activities to meet operational deadlines.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and service records.
- Provide technical guidance and support to workshop personnel.
Essential Experience & Qualifications
- Proven experience in the maintenance and servicing of Subsea Tooling and Back Deck Equipment within a workshop environment.
- Strong mechanical and hydraulic experience.
- Experience using hand tools, test equipment and working within workshop environments.
- Previous offshore experience operating and maintaining Subsea Tooling, ROV and Back Deck Equipment.
- Previous supervisory or team leadership experience.
- Strong fault-finding and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
Desirable Skills
- Experience supporting offshore mobilisation and demobilisation activities.
- Knowledge of industry standards and best practices within the subsea sector.
- Strong organisational and planning skills.
