We are supporting a leading global international law firm that is looking for an experienced Sanctions Lawyer to join its highly regarded Regulatory, Enforcement & Sanctions practice on an interim contract, with potential for extension.
The Role
- Advising on UK (OFSI) and EU sanctions regimes
- Supporting cross-border matters involving US (OFAC) sanctions and export controls
- Advising on sanctions risk in corporate and commercial transactions
- Conducting multi-jurisdictional sanctions risk assessments
- Drafting and reviewing sanctions compliance policies and procedures
- Supporting regulatory enquiries, investigations and voluntary disclosures
- Working closely with international teams on complex cross-border matters
About You
- 3–8+ PQE or equivalent relevant experience
- Strong, demonstrable expertise in UK/EU sanctions
- Experience gained within a leading UK, US or international law firm, or sophisticated in-house legal team
- Exposure to US/OFAC sanctions highly advantageous
- Experience within shipping, energy, commodities or financial services desirable
- Qualification as a Solicitor in England & Wales or US-qualified Attorney based in the UK
