Elevate Legal Talent is seeking an experienced Senior Privacy Lawyer / Privacy Lead to join a leading global technology and information services organisation on an initial 6-month contract. This is an exciting opportunity to work at the forefront of privacy, data protection, cybersecurity and AI governance, supporting a global legal function on complex, multi-jurisdictional matters.

About You
- Qualified lawyer with approximately 8-10+ years' PQE.
- Strong expertise in UK GDPR, EU GDPR and wider privacy regulation.
- Experience advising multinational organisations on privacy compliance across Europe, APAC and/or MEA.
- Strong understanding of cybersecurity regulation.
- Experience gained in-house or advising technology, SaaS, fintech, information services or other data-driven businesses.
- Previous experience leading or mentoring lawyers.
- Commercially minded with excellent stakeholder management skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Advise on UK GDPR, EU GDPR and international privacy laws.
- Provide legal support on data protection, cybersecurity and AI governance matters.
- Lead and mentor a team of privacy lawyers.
- Support privacy-by-design initiatives for technology and AI-enabled products.
- Draft and negotiate commercial agreements, including customer agreements, software licences, DPAs and NDAs.
- Partner with senior business stakeholders across legal, product, engineering and compliance functions.
- Help shape and implement the organisation's global privacy strategy.
Desirable
- Experience advising on AI governance or AI compliance.
- Experience engaging with regulators.
- Privacy certification (e.g. CIPP/E).
- Familiarity with ISO 27701, SOC 2 and privacy information management frameworks.
- Experience supporting highly regulated industries such as legal, financial services or compliance.
