Elevate Flexible Legal Resourcing is seeking experienced Solicitors (Energy Lawyers) - Commercial & Construction to join our customer's in-house legal team within the energy and utilities sector for an interim cover. This role will support infrastructure-led renewable energy projects across commercial and public sector clients, providing hands-on legal support during a period of increased project activity. Prior energy sector experience is essential.
Skills & Experience Required
- UK qualified solicitor
- Proven energy sector experience (renewables, utilities, infrastructure)
- Experience advising on renewable infrastructure projects
- Strong commercial contracting background
- In-house or secondment experience preferred
- Experience working in a regulated environment
- Available to start at short notice
- Working knowledge of:
- Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)
- Energy supply agreements
- Private wire arrangements / ESCO structures
- Data and metering contracts
- Construction contract experience (EPC, O&M, framework agreements)
Key Responsibilities
- You will advise on the development, procurement, construction, and operation of renewable energy infrastructure projects.
- You will support on a range of complex commercial and infrastructure agreements, including:
- Power Purchase Agreements (PPAs)
- Energy supply agreements
- Private wire arrangements
