We are seeking an experienced and commercially minded Deputy Head of Learning & Development to play a key leadership role in shaping an inclusive, high-performance learning culture across a growing, service-led organisation.
The Role
This is a senior operational leadership role with responsibility for the day-to-day management of the Learning & Development function. You will lead and develop a high-performing L&D team, oversee the delivery of core learning programmes, manage budgets and resources, and act as a trusted learning and development advisor to senior stakeholders and clients. You will also deputise for the Head of L&D as required.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead the operational delivery of learning and development across the organisation
- Line manage and develop the L&D team, embedding a coaching-led, high-performance culture
- Oversee the design and delivery of induction, leadership, compliance and skills programmes
- Partner with senior leaders and clients to diagnose needs and deliver impactful learning solutions
- Manage L&D budgets, forecasting, reporting and external suppliers
- Drive innovation through blended and digital learning approaches
- Contribute to organisational L&D strategy, succession planning and talent development
- Champion equality, diversity and inclusion across all learning activity
About You
- Significant experience in L&D leadership or senior operational management
- Proven people manager with experience leading multi-disciplinary teams
- Strong consultancy and stakeholder engagement skills, with senior-level influence
- Commercially astute, with experience managing budgets and demonstrating ROI
- Confident using digital and blended learning solutions
- Strategic thinker with the ability to translate vision into practical delivery
- Experience within hospitality, guest services or customer-focused environments is desirable
