Are you an organised HR Assistant, with good attention to detail, who understands the need for confidentiality? Would you thrive in a business that is growing, with a start-up feel, where your HR administration skills make a real difference to growth and transformation? We are exclusively partnering with a highly successful, multi-site professional services group to recruit an HR Assistant to support a busy and evolving People function. The organisation supports businesses at every stage of growth and is known for its collaborative culture and strong leadership team.

The role: Reporting directly into the Head of HR, this is a key support role within the HR function and will act as the first point of contact for employees across the business. You’ll play a vital role in keeping HR operations running smoothly, supporting onboarding, learning and development, and wider people initiatives. You could be a current HR assistant, HR / L&D co‑ordinator, HR administrator or could come from an office manager or PA background where you have had experience of confidentiality, professionalism and an understanding of HR principles.

Key HR Assistant responsibilities include:

  • Managing the HR inbox and providing first-line HR support
  • Processing HR administration through the HR system (absence, changes, leavers)
  • Preparing contracts, offer letters and leaver documentation
  • Supporting onboarding activities including right to work and background checks
  • Coordinating training schedules and maintaining training records
  • Providing administrative and diary support to senior HR leadership
  • Supporting ad hoc HR projects as the function continues to grow

About you:

  • CIPD Level 3 desired but not essential
  • Hands‑on HR administrative experience
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail
  • Confident communicator with strong written skills
  • Professional, discreet and comfortable handling confidential information
  • Adaptable and able to work at pace
  • Full UK driving licence

Working pattern:

This role offers hybrid working, with a requirement to be in the Head Office (Surrey/Kent borders) at least three days per week, alongside some flexibility depending on business needs. Monday–Friday, 9.00am–5.00pm
