We are expanding our network of Technology Lawyers at all PQE experience. General overview of responsibilities : Provide guidance on information and communication technology matters, including software licensing, telecom contracts, and IT implementation projects. Drafting and Negotiating various technology-related agreements, such as software development, licensing, and outsourcing contracts. Ensure compliance with data protection laws, including GDPR, and advise on privacy issues, data monetization, and cybersecurity. Manage intellectual property rights, including patents, trademarks, and copyrights, and handle IP disputes. Support large-scale commercial transactions, such as mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, and technology commercialization. Advise clients on regulatory issues affecting the technology sector, including consumer protection and telecoms regulation. Skills and Qualifications : Ideally someone with a combination of legal expertise, technical understanding, and the ability to navigate complex commercial and regulatory environments. Must have relevant UK experience in a similar practice area and be available to commence assignments at short notice. Strong understanding of technology law, including intellectual property, data protection, and commercial law. Familiarity with the technology industry and its trends, including emerging technologies like fintech, healthtech, and AI. Excellent written and verbal communication skills to effectively interact with clients and stakeholders. Ability to analyze complex legal issues and provide practical, business-oriented solutions. Ability to work collaboratively with colleagues and clients, often in a fast-paced environment.
