We are seeking a highly capable and commercially astute Real Estate Finance Lawyer to join our customer, a global law firm on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced solicitor to contribute to a high-performing team within a leading law firm, advising on complex and high-value real estate finance transactions. You will work closely with partners and associates on a broad range of finance matters, acting for lenders, borrowers, and investors across the commercial real estate sector. The role offers a hybrid working model, allowing for a balance between office presence and remote work. Key Responsibilities Advising banks, financial institutions, alternative lenders, developers, and property investors on all aspects of real estate finance. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating loan agreements, security documentation, and intercreditor arrangements. Supporting complex secured lending transactions, including acquisition finance, development finance, and refinancing deals. Coordinating due diligence and liaising with clients, counsel, and counterparties. Managing transactions from instruction to post-completion with minimal supervision. Providing support and supervision to junior lawyers and trainees as appropriate. Staying current with relevant legal developments in the real estate and finance sectors. Key Requirements Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 4 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) in real estate finance. Demonstrable experience in real estate secured lending, ideally gained at a top-tier law firm or leading in-house legal team. Strong technical legal knowledge and commercial awareness. Excellent drafting and negotiation skills. Ability to manage a varied and complex workload under time pressure. Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and client-focused approach.
