We are seeking a highly capable and commercially astute Real Estate Finance Lawyer to join our customer, a global law firm on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role is an excellent opportunity for an experienced solicitor to contribute to a high-performing team within a leading law firm, advising on complex and high-value real estate finance transactions.

You will work closely with partners and associates on a broad range of finance matters, acting for lenders, borrowers, and investors across the commercial real estate sector. The role offers a hybrid working model, allowing for a balance between office presence and remote work.

Key Responsibilities
  • Advising banks, financial institutions, alternative lenders, developers, and property investors on all aspects of real estate finance.
  • Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating loan agreements, security documentation, and intercreditor arrangements.
  • Supporting complex secured lending transactions, including acquisition finance, development finance, and refinancing deals.
  • Coordinating due diligence and liaising with clients, counsel, and counterparties.
  • Managing transactions from instruction to post-completion with minimal supervision.
  • Providing support and supervision to junior lawyers and trainees as appropriate.
  • Staying current with relevant legal developments in the real estate and finance sectors.
Key Requirements
  • Qualified solicitor in England & Wales with a minimum of 4 years’ post-qualification experience (PQE) in real estate finance.
  • Demonstrable experience in real estate secured lending, ideally gained at a top-tier law firm or leading in-house legal team.
  • Strong technical legal knowledge and commercial awareness.
  • Excellent drafting and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to manage a varied and complex workload under time pressure.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with a collaborative and client-focused approach.
