Our customer (a global Law Firm), is looking for a Compliance Lawyer / Professional to join them for an initial 3-to-6-month period, starting as soon as possible. You will bring a strong knowledge of KYC/AML and SRA compliance regulations. This hybrid position requires 3 days onsite in Birmingham, Sheffield, or Manchester offices . Key Requirements: The work involves onboarding new clients, running conflicts and customer checks, and managing B2B and B2C relationships. Need to have experience of Anti-money laundering compliance or SRA compliance Experience / Knowledge in Managing Stakeholders Process mapping and activities like the assessment of suspicious activity reports and general advisory e.g., sanctions, PEPs, onboarding and due diligence. In-depth technical knowledge, skills, and experience in practically applying the legal and regulatory requirements relating to client due diligence and/or conflicts in a law firm for both domestic and international individual and business clients. Detailed knowledge and practical application in a law firm of SRA Standards and Rules relating to KYC, AML, Conflicts, and Financial Crime prevention rules and regulations. Behaviors and Attributes: Candidates should have industry awareness and prior knowledge of AML/KYC, with a particular focus on the EU and US.
