About the Role:
We are seeking an experienced Legal Counsel - Derivatives with a strong background in Debt Capital Markets, specifically focusing on structured products and derivatives. This is a 6-month full-time contract based in London, with a hybrid working model (3 days in the office). The role is ideally suited to candidates with recent Private Practice (PP) experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Support the establishment and ongoing maintenance of both on and off-balance sheet structured product programmes.
- Advise on securitised and OTC derivative transactions, ensuring compliance with regulatory frameworks.
- Work on hedging arrangements within the context of complex structured finance transactions.
- Assist with structured repos and securities lending arrangements.
- Contribute to the structuring and execution of repackaging transactions.
- Provide regulatory guidance related to the above areas.
Must-Have Experience:
- Solid background in Debt Capital Markets, particularly in structured products and derivatives (note: this role does not involve ISDA documentation).
- Recent Private Practice (PP) experience is essential.
- Deep understanding of the legal and regulatory aspects related to structured finance and capital markets products.
