Job Description
Elevate Flexible Legal Resourcing is partnering with a prestigious London-based investment bank to find a motivated Corporate Lawyer to join their EMEA M&A Legal team on a six-month interim secondment starting October.
If you are UK-qualified, have 3-6 years PQE, and experience in transactional M&A within a dynamic environment, this is your chance to work on high-profile deals in the heart of Canary Wharf.
Location: Onsite in London.
Key Requirements:
- Qualified to practice law in the UK.
- Minimum 3-6 years PQE in M&A/Corporate law, ideally gained at a national/international law firm or top-tier investment bank.
- Proven experience drafting contracts, conducting contract reviews and analysis, and delivering concise summaries.
- Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple transactions and client queries in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent interpersonal, analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Attention to detail and a results-driven approach.
- Adaptable, with a willingness to apply skills to new and varied subject matter areas.
Specific duties to be undertaken in the role:
- Draft, review, and analyse contracts and related transaction documentation, providing clear summary presentations and abstracts.
- Review, advise on, and negotiate M&A advisory-related documentation, including engagement letters and confidentiality agreements.
- Provide counsel on conflicts management and ensure compliance with internal policies.
- Represent the M&A Legal team at business review committees and valuation/fairness opinion committees.
- Collaborate with other Corporate & Investment Banking (CIB) Legal teams (e.g., Equity/Debt Capital Markets) and external counsel as required.
- Support business stakeholders across varying seniority levels on a wide range of legal matters.
