Our customer, a leading organisation in the payments and financial services industry, is seeking an experienced Commercial Lawyer to join their dynamic legal team on a full-time contract basis. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a highly collaborative environment with a strong team culture and a positive, engaging atmosphere.
Start Date: Early July
Contract Duration: Until end of 2025
Working Hours: Full-Time
Location: London (Hybrid – 2 days in office)
Key Responsibilities:
- Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of commercial and sales contracts, predominantly within the UK, with occasional global matters.
- Supporting cross-functional teams with contractual and legal advice, particularly in the context of commercial and transactional matters.
- Engaging with a broad range of internal stakeholders, including sales and business development teams.
- Providing legal support in relation to day-to-day commercial activities and initiatives across the business.
Key Requirements:
- UK-qualified solicitor with a current practicing certificate.
- Proven commercial legal experience, ideally within a fast-paced, regulated industry.
- Strong stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build relationships across departments and regions.
- Demonstrated experience in supporting sales-focused transactions.
Desirable Skills & Experience:
- Prior experience in the payments or broader financial services sector.
- Familiarity with legal and regulatory issues specific to the fintech or electronic money landscape.
- Experience handling international commercial matters.
