Elevate Flexible Legal Resourcing is looking for a Commercial Lawyer to cover a contract role for 12 to 24 months, with an immediate start. The candidate must be a qualified solicitor holding a current practising certificate in England and Wales, with a minimum of 2 years of post-qualification experience (PQE). Experience in advising on business-to-business (B2B) contracts, including interpretation and drafting, is essential, mainly to support product migration projects.
Key responsibilities:
- Provide advice on feasibility of migration and service termination and withdrawal proposals made by the project team.
- The advice will be based on reviews of contracts, including product terms and conditions, specific customer contracts, and government framework contracts, for pertinent provisions and contractual considerations as appropriate to the project proposals.
- Support marketing and communications teams with review and drafting of customer communications, and providing input based on outcome of first point.
- Draft additional terms, contractual notices and amendments, both templates to be used by contract management teams, and customer-specific.
- Provide ad hoc contract and legal interpretation support to Contract Management team.
- Provide ad hoc support to Sales and Account Managers with specific customer queries relating to contracts and notices as the project progresses.
- Work with specialist areas within Legal & Regulatory to ensure coordinated advice, including with Regulatory and Competition legal teams, and other areas such as privacy.
- Will need to be able to work and manage time independently, and collaborate and provide advice to the wider project and business teams (including programme managers, product managers and commercial teams).
