About the role: As a PPM Engineer, you will be required to carry out planned preventative maintenance on all our clients' Energy Centres. You will provide accurate information and report all defects to be raised for repairs, assisting with repairs and supporting compliance tasks such as water testing to ensure the site's equipment are available at all times to ensure 99.5% uptime or greater. Ensuring all Quality Management and Compliance Documentation for Planned Preventative maintenance and reactive repair activities is accurate and complete for each site. Provide technical assistance to clients, and work colleagues within, whilst fulfilling and meeting both Quality Standards and HSE Objectives. Proactively manage HSE objectives and Quality Standards and ensure the adoption of Safe Working Practices during the works within the clients Energy Centres/Plant rooms. Make effective recommendations for continuous improvement. Ensure that Statutory and Mandatory Inspections are satisfactorily carried out and documented in line with the Company's Management System. Diligently and accurately maintain, submit relevant documentation and records as required, and maintain Company Standards. Provide a high standard of work and providing detailed reports. Support and assist your colleagues where necessary. Working to a programme of works, you will deliver the requirements of the visits and provide a detailed report. Escalating issues with any sites to ensure they are quickly resolved. Adopt HSE Policies, Procedures and Objectives, and ensure they are achieved throughout area of responsibility. Ensuring PPE equipment is safe and in date for use. Assisting the Residential and Administrative teams during busier winter periods. Ensure that all Energy Centres operate above 99.5% of the year and to carry out works and be flexible for changes to ensure that we reduce downtime to affected sites. Be versatile to support all Department works, Servicing HIUs and reacting to HIU breakdowns when needed or works outside of the contractual agreement, such as replacing radiators, HIUs, etc. Support or provide access to the Energy Centres for other contractor works. Provide quotations for parts or components required for Servicing/Repairs based on liaising with manufacturers and your team. Provide training to new employees and support their development. Any other duties consistent with the job description that may be required from time to time.

About you: The ideal candidate will be well presented, wearing company uniform at all times, organised and polite. This is a client & customer-facing role, with excellent communication and customer service skills. Completed a recognised apprenticeship and/or be qualified to City & Guilds/NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing/HVAC. Experience within Energy Centres and plant rooms and working on/with their equipment. A full UK driving licence and a flexible approach to working practices is essential. You will also be required to actively take part in the callout/standby rota. You will have a proactive approach in identifying issues and making sure they are understood, reporting them effectively to management and ensuring they are being addressed and closed out. You will have prior experience on various types of Energy Centres and knowledge of District Heating networks. Good customer service skills, able to work alone or as part of a team on various projects. Hot water systems or valid unvented hot water certification. Mechanical Biased with Electrical knowledge in a similar environment, with a comprehensive understanding of current industry practices and relevant legislation (Advantageous). Non-Domestic Gas or F-Gas (Advantageous); training will be provided. Understanding the causes and effects of inefficient Energy Centres and implementing changes to improve the efficiency of the Network. Knowledge of heating systems - Direct and indirect, Energy Centre processes and supporting distribution systems. Working towards or awareness of Electrical qualifications (BS7671) allowing safe works on single or 3-phase electrics. Willingness to study for relevant industry qualifications.
