We are currently seeking an experienced Quality Inspector to join a precision engineering company in Leicester. This role plays a vital part in ensuring products meet the highest standards of accuracy and compliance for both machined and fabricated components. Key Responsibilities
Carry out in-process, first-off and patrol inspections of machined and fabricated parts
Work in accordance with ISO 9001:2015 standards
Use a range of manual and digital inspection tools such as micrometers, verniers, gauges, callipers, and height gauges
Read and interpret engineering drawings and customer specifications
Conduct goods-in and visual inspections with high attention to detail
Assist with calibration and control of inspection and gauging equipment
Support a culture of continuous improvement and excellent housekeeping
Collaborate effectively within a small, experienced inspection team
Desirable Experience
Proficiency with CMM equipment
Previous weld inspection or fabrication experience
Prior experience in a precision engineering or manufacturing environment
Ideal Candidate
Strong technical background with an eye for detail
Ability to work across shifts as required
Excellent communication and teamwork skills
