We are recruiting for an experienced and organised Care Coordinator to join a well-established domiciliary care provider in Barnet. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual who is passionate about delivering high-quality care and ensuring the smooth coordination of care services within the community. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing care schedules, supporting care staff, maintaining strong client relationships, and ensuring services are delivered safely, efficiently, and in line with regulatory requirements.
Key Responsibilities
- Coordinate and manage care staff rotas to ensure all care visits are effectively covered.
- Schedule and allocate care calls based on client needs, staff availability, and geographical locations.
- Conduct client visits, service reviews, and quality assurance checks.
- Liaise with clients, families, healthcare professionals, and care staff to ensure excellent service delivery.
- Respond to changes in client needs and implement care plan updates where required.
- Support the recruitment, onboarding, and induction of new care staff.
- Monitor staff performance and assist with spot checks and supervision visits.
- Maintain accurate records, care documentation, and scheduling systems.
- Ensure compliance with CQC standards, safeguarding procedures, and company policies.
- Manage last-minute staffing issues, absences, and emergency cover arrangements.
- Contribute to service growth through maintaining excellent client satisfaction and staff engagement.
Essential Requirements
- Previous experience as a Care Coordinator, Scheduler, Senior Carer, or similar role within domiciliary care.
- Strong understanding of domiciliary care operations and CQC regulations.
- Excellent organisational and scheduling skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Competent IT skills and experience using care management software.
- Full UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
- Flexibility to undertake office-based duties and community visits.
Desirable Requirements
- NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care or equivalent.
- Experience conducting service reviews, spot checks, and client assessments.
- Knowledge of scheduling platforms such as Birdie, CarePlanner, PASS, or similar systems.
- Experience supporting recruitment and staff development.
