If you’re an engineer who enjoys being out on site rather than stuck in one factory, this is worth a look.

This role suits someone who likes variety. One day you’re installing and commissioning machines. The next you’re fault-finding on customer sites or providing technical support from the office. You’re trusted to get on with the job, not micromanaged.

What you’ll actually be doing

• Planned service and breakdown visits across the UK
• Machine installations and commissioning
• Remote technical support when not on site
• Occasional support to production when needed

What matters

• Proven field service or installations experience
• Strong electrical and mechanical fault-finding
• Comfortable dealing with customers face to face
• Happy to travel and stay away occasionally

Experience with PLCs, CNC, CAD/CAM or capital equipment is useful, but hands-on field competence matters more.
