Some electronics roles are 90% meetings and 10% engineering. This isn't one of them. We're working with a specialist engineering business where electronics still sits at the centre of product development. Engineers are trusted to solve problems, make decisions and take ownership rather than spending their lives moving tickets around a workflow.
They're looking for a Senior Electronic Design Engineer to help develop the next generation of complex electronic products used in demanding real-world environments. This is the sort of role where you'll still be hands-on. One day you might be developing new hardware, the next investigating a challenging technical issue, validating a design, reviewing test data or working alongside software and manufacturing teams to bring a product through to release. You'll have genuine influence over technical decisions and the opportunity to see your work progress from concept through to finished product.
What you'll need:
- You'll probably already be working as an Electronics Engineer, Electronic Design Engineer or Hardware Engineer and be comfortable with:
- Analogue and digital electronics
- Schematic capture and PCB design
- Testing, validation and fault finding
- Root cause investigation
- Product development within a commercial environment
- Experience with sensors, RF technologies, embedded electronics, CAN communications or high-reliability applications would be advantageous, but we're more interested in finding someone who enjoys solving engineering problems and wants to continue developing technically.
Why consider it?
- Because opportunities like this are becoming increasingly rare.
- A business that genuinely values engineering.
- A role where you'll still be technically involved.
- Complex products.
- Interesting challenges.
- Good people.
- And a salary package of up to £65,000 without needing to leave Norfolk.
