Overview

If you work in QHSE and you're tired of roles that sit on the sidelines — updating documents but never really influence what happens on site — this one is different. This is a hands-on QHSE Adviser role within a group of manufacturing and engineering businesses based at Claydon Business Park. You'll work alongside an experienced Group QHSE Manager and be embedded in day-to-day operations, not parked behind a desk.

What you'll really be doing:

  • Supporting and maintaining ISO-aligned management systems (9001, 14001, 45001)
  • Carrying out risk assessments and hazard identification in a live, working environment
  • Supporting and running internal audits, then following actions through
  • Investigating incidents and near misses properly — not just writing reports
  • Advising on safe use of equipment, inspections and training
  • Working closely with managers to improve quality, safety and environmental performance
  • Stepping in to provide baseline cover when the QHSE Manager is absent

Who this will suit:

This will suit someone early-to-mid career in QHSE who wants more responsibility and exposure. You're likely:

  • From a manufacturing or engineering environment
  • Confident enough to challenge, but sensible about how you do it
  • Comfortable balancing compliance with operational reality
  • Looking to step up, not hide behind procedure

Formal H&S or ISO qualifications are useful, but practical, demonstrable QHSE experience matters more.

What's on offer:

  • Permanent, full-time role (37.5 hours)
  • Salary negotiable based on experience and qualifications
  • Broad exposure across QHSE, not a narrow admin remit
  • A genuine development role working alongside a senior QHSE lead

Next step:

If you want a QHSE role where you can learn, influence and be taken seriously on site, this is worth a conversation.
