The Opportunity
An established UK engineering manufacturer is looking to appoint a Technical Sales Engineer to help drive continued growth across the UK.
This is a consultative sales role focused on understanding customer requirements and providing bespoke engineering solutions rather than selling standard catalogue products.
You'll work with manufacturers and industrial businesses, building long-term relationships, identifying new opportunities and supporting customers from initial enquiry through to completed order.

The Role
You'll be responsible for
- Developing new business opportunities across the UK.
- Building strong relationships with customers, distributors and industry partners.
- Understanding customer applications and recommending suitable engineering solutions.
- Preparing quotations and technical proposals.
- Managing projects from enquiry through to order.
- Working closely with the engineering team to develop commercially viable solutions.
- Representing the business at customer meetings and industry exhibitions.
- Maintaining an active sales pipeline and CRM.
About You
We're keen to speak with people who have experience selling technical or engineering products into industrial or manufacturing environments.
You'll ideally have experience within one or more of the following
- Material handling
- Lifting equipment
- Industrial machinery
- Automation
- Electromechanical products
- Industrial controls
- Mechanical or electrical engineering products
You'll also have
- A proven track record in technical or engineering sales.
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
- Commercial awareness with a consultative approach.
- The ability to understand technical applications and recommend solutions.
- A full UK driving licence.
