We're recruiting on behalf of an established Norfolk manufacturer that designs and builds bespoke industrial equipment for customers across a range of industries. No production line maintenance. No repetitive breakdowns. Every project is different.
You'll play a key role in developing electrical control systems, supporting machine builds and helping deliver customer-specific engineering solutions from start to finish.
What you'll be doing:
- Developing electrical and control solutions for bespoke machinery.
- Selecting components including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, relays and safety devices.
- Configuring and programming small PLC and HMI systems.
- Producing electrical schematics and technical documentation.
- Supporting the electrical build and wiring of machines.
- Testing, commissioning and fault finding before customer delivery.
- Working alongside mechanical engineers, production and suppliers to deliver high-quality projects.
- Contributing ideas to improve existing products and future designs.

What we're looking for:
- Experience with industrial electrical control systems.
- Machine wiring or control panel assembly.
- Reading and producing electrical schematics.
- PLCs and HMI systems.
- Electrical fault finding and commissioning.
- Manufacturing, machinery or automation environments.
Experience with AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, motion control or 24V DC systems would be beneficial, but attitude and practical engineering experience are just as important.
