You’ll join an established engineering business that designs and manufactures specialist electronic systems used in some of the world's most demanding subsea and offshore environments. This isn’t high-volume consumer electronics or consultancy work. It’s engineering-led product development where reliability, innovation and problem solving genuinely matter. You’ll be involved throughout the entire product lifecycle, from initial concept and circuit design through to testing, manufacture and continuous product improvement.
The Role
Working as part of a highly experienced design team, you’ll have the opportunity to take ownership of projects while collaborating with other engineers on the development of new and existing products. You’ll be responsible for:
- Designing analogue and digital electronic circuits
- PCB design, simulation and layout
- Developing embedded electronic systems using MCU and PIC devices
- Building and testing prototypes
- Fault finding and validating products before manufacture
- Producing technical documentation within an ISO 9001 environment
- Supporting continuous product development from concept through to production
About You
You’ll probably have experience in most of the following:
- Electronic circuit design
- PCB layout and schematic capture
- Embedded electronics
- MCU or PIC programming
- Product testing and fault finding
You’ll also be comfortable working within a collaborative engineering environment where ideas are shared, problems are solved together and quality matters more than speed.
Experience in any of the following would be an advantage:
- RF design
- Analogue electronics
- DSP or FPGA development
- C or C#
- Underwater acoustic systems
- A strong mathematical or physics background
