We are looking for an experienced English tutor to work with a 5-year-old student in daily lessons from Monday to Friday at 10:30 AM Dubai time. The tutor must have a strong track record of working with children of similar age and be fluent in English. Lessons should be dynamic, engaging, and adapted to the child’s learning style. A deep understanding of child psychology and the ability to cultivate intrinsic motivation are essential. The tutor must maintain a warm yet structured teaching approach — someone who is creative and playful, but also consistent and respected by the child. The tutor should align with our values around curiosity-driven learning and be capable of building a long-term trajectory in learning English. Curriculum familiarity and the ability to clearly explain the roadmap are required.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach daily 1-hour English lessons (Monday–Friday, 10.30 – 11.00 Dubai time) for 2 months
- Resume lessons in December (exact time to be confirmed)
- Provide a personalized English learning plan and update it regularly based on student progress
- Attend bi-weekly Tutor Council meetings to share insights, progress, and concerns
- Submit a short feedback form after each lesson assessing effort, knowledge mastery, and observations
- Assign and review homework regularly
Requirements
- Daily availability at the specified time
- Proven experience teaching English to children aged ~5 following UK curriculum
- Ability to design a clear, motivating learning journey through English language
- Strong presence: kind, flexible, but able to set and hold structure
