We have an opportunity for a structural engineer to join our growing civil and structural engineering team in our London studio. We design inspiring buildings, where our engineering ideas help shape the end design rather than simply facilitate the delivery of an architect-led solution. We aim to design structures with minimum impact on the planet and maximum value for our clients. You will play an active role in the creation of buildings and undertake a variety of technical tasks on diverse projects, across varied sectors including healthcare, sci-tech, education, commercial and historic buildings.

BDP is a leading, global, multidisciplinary design practice united by a shared purpose: to design a world that's built for good. For more than 60 years, we’ve been solving problems, creating innovative spaces, and pushing the boundaries of what’s possible. Our work is rooted in creativity, quality, and collaboration. We believe that great design removes barriers and opens new possibilities, all while meeting the demands of a constantly evolving world.

We are looking for a passionate and dedicated structural engineer with excellent design, technical, and software skills that enjoys working collaboratively in multi-professional design teams. In this role you will be involved across all stages of the design and delivery of major national and international projects. You will have good communication skills, be self-organised, have a passion for structural design, enjoy working within a motivated team, and have an enthusiasm for architecture and building design. You will be able to demonstrate excellent technical aptitude and have experience in use of varied structural design analysis software. Experience of SCIA, GSA, ETABS, REVIT and Grasshopper would be beneficial.

In return, BDP can offer you a wide range of learning opportunities to encourage personal and professional career development. We are committed to being an employer of choice and offer a competitive remuneration and benefits package that includes an employee profit share scheme, tax efficient smart benefits, private medical insurance, life insurance, long-term sickness insurance, interest free season ticket loans, health screening, opportunity to buy/swap holidays and enhanced maternity and paternity provision, plus many more. We offer regular international, and studio based social, sporting and charitable events.

To apply please click on the Apply button below. You will then need to complete the online application form and attach a CV and cover letter.
