We are looking for a talented intermediate Architectural Technologist to be based in our award‑winning Bristol studio to work across our Healthcare, Education, Residential, Workplace and other sector projects. The Bristol studio already has a recognised strength in technical design, co‑ordination, and delivery with Revit as our predominant modelling software. The successful candidate will play a key role within project teams and primarily contribute towards technical design co‑ordination, problem solving, production of architectural details and specification writing, making a significant contribution to the team's output and project successes.

As a major interdisciplinary building design practice of Architects, Engineers, Designers and Urbanists, BOP offers a unique opportunity to work on definitive high‑profile projects within interdisciplinary project teams. Access to the wide variety of skilled and experienced individuals will allow the successful candidate to exponentially grow with self‑directed and guided learning and development opportunities.

Key Qualifications
  • Good verbal, written and graphical communication skills, and track record of working within multidisciplinary design teams.
  • A sympathetic appreciation of civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, acoustics etc engineering design principles.
  • Preferable experience of technical delivery at RIBA Stage 4, however an ability to apply technical delivery experiences to earlier conceptual stages will be advantageous.
  • Analytical and technical problem‑solving skills.
  • A curious personality and ability to delve deeper than surface level thinking.
  • A visual thinker and strong ability to interpret 2D and 3D geometry and details.
  • Comprehensive draughting ability, with sound Revit knowledge.
  • An understanding of current UK Building Regulations and COM obligations.
  • Experience in site attendance and ability to resolve site queries is desirable.
  • CIAT accredited degree and working towards MCIAT desirable.
