The Role

We are seeking an experienced Data Management Lead. The successful candidate will play a key role in shaping and delivering a long-term data strategy, not only for the ERP programme but a framework that covers the Digital function. They will develop a Data Strategy for Digital and will be accountable for implementing that strategy for the ERP Harmonisation Programme. This includes, leading data governance, managing the data workstream, overseeing migration, and embedding sustainable data practices. The role requires close collaboration with business and technical teams to ensure data readiness and alignment with programme objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Define and implement the data strategy for Digital, with a focus on the ERP.
  • Ensure compliance with data privacy, security, and regulatory requirements.
  • Co-ordinate with functional leads and SMEs for accurate data mapping.
  • Lead the data workstream within the programme, including full data migration lifecycle (ETL).
  • Oversee data profiling, cleansing, and enrichment activities.
  • Work with business units to resolve data quality issues and ensure readiness for migration.
  • Engage with business stakeholders to understand data requirements and ensure alignment with SAP design.
  • Provide regular updates to programme leadership on data readiness and risks.
  • Lead a team of data analysts, migration specialists, and external consultants.

Qualifications

  • Proven leadership in SAP data workstreams (S/4HANA).
  • Expertise in migration tools (SAP Data Services, LSMW, Migration Cockpit).
  • Experience with data governance and MDM.
  • Deep understanding of SAP modules and data structures.
  • Knowledge of real-time, asynchronous, and batch integration architectures is advantageous but not required.
  • Familiarity with Data Lake architecture and Microsoft tools are advantageous but not required.
  • Ability to translate data decisions into business and technical terms.
  • Experience in complex, fast paced environments with multiple stakeholders.
  • Experience designing data architecture and end-to-end data flows.
  • Strong Leadership, analytical and communication skills.
  • Leading data governance and design authority decisions.
