Our client is seeking an experienced Registered Manager to lead a solo EBD home in Stoke-on-Trent. This is not a step-up role; it’s an opportunity for a proven leader with recent GOOD+ Ofsted outcomes to take on a service that’s stable, well-run, and ready for its next chapter.

The current manager is stepping up to become the Responsible Individual, offering the incoming manager ongoing guidance and a thoughtful handover. With a highly experienced and settled staff team already in place, the focus is on continued quality, not crisis management.

About the Role:

  • Lead a solo placement service with the child already in placement
  • Guide a stable, well-performing team through the next stage of development
  • Maintain high standards in care planning, safeguarding, and daily operations
  • Work closely with the new RI to ensure consistency and shared accountability
  • Support existing team culture while bringing your own leadership strengths

What Makes This Opportunity Different:

  • Smooth leadership transition with the current manager stepping into the RI role
  • Settled staff team and positive culture already in place
  • Flexible working considered by agreement
  • Strong track record of GOOD+ Ofsted inspections
  • Clear pathway to oversee a future second home, if desired

About You:

  • Must have recent experience as a Registered Manager with GOOD+ Ofsted outcomes
  • Confident, resilient leader with a calm, reflective style
  • Strong background in EBD residential childcare
  • Level 5 Diploma in Leadership for Residential Childcare (or equivalent)
  • Committed to sustainable leadership, staff development and therapeutic care

Why Join:

  • £50,000 - £55,000 salary + performance-related Ofsted bonuses
  • Flexible working options considered
  • Supportive and experienced RI relationship
  • Opportunity to help shape future expansion plans
  • Work with a values-led provider focused on stability, not volume
