The Quality Assurance Systems Administrator supports the Quality Department at Research Instruments, Falmouth, UK by maintaining Quality Management System documentation and records and providing data for quality metrics monitoring and quality investigations.
The Quality Assurance Systems Administrator supports the QA team by performing administrative tasks to ensure ongoing compliance. Key responsibilities include:
- Maintaining quality documentation.
- Coordinating employee training and sustaining accurate training records.
- Gathering quality data for KPI monitoring and monthly trending.
- Collaborating with various departments to resolve quality issues and improve processes.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and reporting the status of quality documents and records to the Quality Manager, to ensure compliance.
- Gathering data and reporting on KPIs to the Quality Manager for the measurement of Quality Management System performance.
- Monitoring and communicating quality management system performance metrics to the Quality Manager for the monthly Quality reviews and annual Management Review.
- Maintaining the Training Matrix and reporting training status to the Quality Manager.
- Assisting with the coordination of Internal Audits and maintaining documented evidence of follow-up actions.
- Providing support in preparation for external audits.
- Assisting with Corrective and Preventive Action (CAPA) investigations and maintaining evidence of follow-up actions.
- Supporting any other Quality-related investigations and improvements as directed by the Quality Manager.
- Taking part proactively in the QA team and ensuring good cross communication between QA team members and those of other departments to meet business demands.
- Collaborating closely with cross-functional RI teams to resolve quality issues quickly and avoid disruptions.
Qualifications:
- A strong focus on accuracy and thoroughness is crucial for quality work.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills to interact with various internal and external stakeholders.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a quality team and with other departments.
- Familiarity with conducting data analysis and reporting.
- Excellent organizational, time management and communication skills are needed to handle multiple priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook) is essential.
- Knowledge of Quality Management Systems is desirable.
- Experience in ERP systems and Adobe Acrobat is desirable.
Work Environment:
The role is primarily office based with computer work. The work environment is a clean, air-conditioned environment. All PPE, tools, equipment and storage are provided. Nature of work may include long periods of intense concentration, frequent interruptions, multiple tasks and meeting deadlines.
Experience:
Experience of working in Quality, Manufacturing or Engineering would be preferred.
Education:
There are no specific educational requirements for this role, but the following are essential:
- Proficiency in English is required for the documentation and communication aspects of the role.
- Proficiency in Mathematics is required for the data gathering aspects of the role.
- Proficiency in MS Office is required for day-to-day activities.
