Want to own a mobile product end to end, from the game engine to the backend, as the founding engineer? We’re hiring a Unity and full stack developer to build one of our ventures: a gamified learning app for iOS and Android. You’ll own everything the user sees and touches, plus everything behind it, and work directly with the founders to shape the product from day one.
About Eleniak
Eleniak is a venture studio based in the Jewellery Quarter, Birmingham. We are building E-commerce and Software companies with a core growth marketing team supporting throughout. We participate in partnerships with existing operators alongside having our own in-house ventures. Through this journey we have built out proprietary tech and AI systems that enable us to output more than teams 10x our size. You would be working directly with operators who have scaled real brands and generated over £200M+ in revenue through paid social and paid search.
The role
The product is a learning app that uses interactive, gamified experiences to make learning engaging and memorable. It’s built for a faith-based audience, with the potential to reach millions of people. You’ll take it from prototype through to App Store and Google Play release, then keep improving it as it grows.
What you’d do:
- Build and ship the iOS and Android app in Unity, from prototype to App Store and Google Play release
- Design and develop interactive, gamified learning experiences
- Own the UI/UX, turning ideas into intuitive, polished mobile screens
- Build and maintain the backend: APIs, databases, user accounts, subscriptions and analytics
- Integrate in-app purchases and subscriptions through Apple and Google
- Optimise performance, load times and app size across a wide range of devices
- Work directly with the founders on the product roadmap and technical decisions, and bring your own ideas for new features
What we’re looking for:
- Strong commercial experience with Unity and C#, with at least one shipped mobile game or app
- Solid full stack skills, for example Node.js, Python or .NET on the backend, plus cloud platforms like Firebase, AWS or Supabase
- A good eye for UI/UX, with experience in Figma or similar tools
- Experience publishing and maintaining apps on the App Store and Google Play
- Comfortable working independently in a fast-moving startup, with lots of ownership
- A clear communicator who enjoys working with non-technical founders
- Experience with in-app subscriptions, paywalls and tools like RevenueCat
- Experience with analytics and A/B testing (Firebase, Mixpanel, Amplitude)
- Experience with AI or LLM integrations
- Familiarity with Islamic practices, or an interest in faith-based products
What you get:
- £38,000 - £42,000 per annum, depending on experience
- Real ownership of the product and technical direction from day one
- The chance to build something that matters to millions of people
- Visa sponsorship for the right candidate
- Access to cutting-edge AI tools and internal systems

How to prepare for a job interview at Eleniak
✨Brush Up on Your Coding Skills
For a full-time software engineering role, it's crucial that we stay sharp with our coding abilities. Expect technical questions that might involve solving problems on the spot or discussing algorithms. Practise on platforms like LeetCode or HackerRank to get comfortable with the types of questions that often come up.
✨Know Your Tools and Frameworks
Make sure we’re well-acquainted with the tools and technologies listed in the job description. Familiarise ourselves with any specific frameworks or programming languages mentioned. If Eleniak uses React or Node.js, for instance, be ready to discuss how we’ve used them in previous projects or coursework.
✨Showcase Your Projects
Bring along a portfolio that highlights our best work. This could be code samples, GitHub repositories, or any side projects we’ve built. Make sure we can talk through our thought process for each project, especially the challenges we faced and how we solved them—this shows our problem-solving skills in action.
✨Prepare for Behavioural Questions
While technical skills are key, full-time positions also require cultural fit. Be ready to discuss our previous experiences and how we handle teamwork, conflict, and deadlines. Brush up on the STAR method—Situation, Task, Action, Result—to clearly articulate our past experiences when discussing how we've contributed to a team.
