ELEMIS have a newly created role for a Mid-weight Motion Designer in our Global Design team! In this role you will drive the graphical direction of the brands animated assets and will work cross-functionally within marketing. You will report to the Global Head of Design and work alongside a talented team of Designers, but Motion will be your 'thing'!
The ideal candidate will utilise their skills in software and hardware to develop motion graphics and visual effects/ aids to enhance the overall asset production, helping us to build our Motion guidelines and elevate our brand storytelling. This is a full time permanent opportunity, based in our Baker Street Head offices. We have hybrid working, 3 days in office and 2 days from home, and flexible working hours!
What the role entails:
- High attention to detail with strong typographic and layout skills.
- Be a strategic creative thinker, able to disseminate complex information from stakeholders and tailor creative solutions to meet their objectives.
- Excellent skills in After Effects, Premiere, Photoshop, Illustrator and Figma are a must.
- Knowledge and ability to use AI and CGI to aid the creative process and speed up workflow.
- Create pixel-perfect assets for all digital aspects of the brand, from animated social and campaign video to digital BAU (reels/stories/web/ads/emails).
- Work closely with the copywriters, designers and social team to strengthen concepts and build stories, providing input and recommendations on the visual direction, pacing, and narrative of animated/motion projects.
- A natural team player, can develop and maintain positive working relationships.
- A social first, disruptive thinker with a broad range of interests and tenacity to research new innovative techniques and share inspiring and engaging new ideas to forward propel the brand's motion output.
- Can articulate your thinking clearly and sell your insight-led ideas to all levels.
- Ability to keep track of various versions of a video project under tight deadlines, including multiple variations across numerous creative treatments.
- Actively participate in the art direction, ideation and shoot concept where required with a focus on motion/production, advising the wider team.
- Work closely with videographers/photographers to capture brand requirements.
- Being proactive and selfāmotivated when working under pressure.
- Versioning/formatting and delivering projects to all major platforms: knowledge of file formats/display ratio and best practice for TikTok, IG, Vimeo, Facebook, YouTube etc.
- A good sense of pace and rhythm when animating text and other elements.
- Good knowledge of best practice for video workflow.
- Carry out other duties as so requested by management from time to time.
- Ability to deal with and manage ambiguity.
The Perfect Candidate
Qualifications:
- Educated to degree level in a Design related degree or other equivalent visual discipline.
Previous Experience and Knowledge:
- 4+ years experience in an ināhouse/agency/freelance role having worked for either beauty/fitness/fashion/lifestyle brands.
- Demonstrable experience for creating motion and video brand assets.
- Fully competent in After Effects, Premiere, Figma, Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator are a must. Sketch and XD a bonus not essential.
- Beautiful craft skills with a premium or luxury aesthetic.
- Onāset shoot experience.
- A selfāstarter with a hunger to get stuckāin.
- Commercial yet disruptive mindset.
- Passion and deep understanding for current and upcoming social channels.
